Specific locationBeijing, Liaoning and Gansu Provinces to look at Water Resources Demand Management, Sichuan and Yunnan to look at Rural Water Supply and Sanitation DescriptionAnnual monitoring of the £6.7 million 3 year water sector development project, operating in 4 provinces in China, concerning improved access to rural water supply and sanitation services in 2 provinces – Sichuan and Yunnan. Also comprising development and dissemination of effective approaches and methodologies for sustainable access and use of water resources in 2 provinces – Liaoning and Gansu. Services provided by WEDC included: an output to purpose review (OPR) to be conducted at the end of the first phase of the project to review the progress of the first phase – during which time case study demonstration models have been developed – to trigger approval process for phase 2. The OPR should provide recommendations as to the appropriate scope of work for phase 2. |
