Research with WEDC
WEDC undertakes research that matters, driven by the need to understand what leads to effective and sustainable solutions in water and sanitation, and to contribute to the uptake of proven innovation and good practice.
Our work ranges from studies of specific technical problems to those that integrate multi-disciplinary perspectives: social, health, technical, economic, financial, institutional, and environmental. Have a look at some of our previous projects.
Let us help you to develop feasible solutions to your problems in water and sanitation. Whether you are concerned with the urgency of emergency situations or with long-term, sustainable development, we have the expertise and experience to take your projects and programmes forward.
Contact Professor M. Sohail Khan (M.Sohail@lboro.ac.uk) to discuss your requirements.
Research outputs
WEDC research is focused on the impact that our research can have on the improvement of infrastructure and services, how they can be better delivered and, ultimately, on how they can improve the lives of under-served people.
Beyond the reports we produce for our clients, therefore, we engage seriously in the processes of outreach and dissemination of our research findings. We hold meetings, forums, conferences and workshops and we seek ways of publishing and disseminating our findings in both print and by using new technologies.
