Water and Environmental Management
A programme to enable you to develop knowledge, expertise and skills in all aspects of water, sanitation and environmental management. The programme focuses on the conditions and aspirations of communities in low- and middle-income countries.
You will learn to:
- understand water resources, water supply, sanitation and related issues from an international perspective;
- plan and manage work in the water and sanitation sector, especially in low- and middle-income countries; and
- develop expertise in water and environmental management for the public good.
On completion of the course you will be able to:
- manage a multi-disciplinary approach to water supply, sanitation delivery and environmental planning;
- understand the key issues in water resources management;
- describe major international developments and initiatives relating to management of the water cycle and environmental planning; and
- combine social and institutional issues to deliver sustainable water and sanitation services and minimize environmental impact.
